‘My daughter is always happy to go to school and I feel this is down to the teachers making her feel welcome and comfortable. She often speaks about her day and what she has learnt but then also the impact the teachers have had on her day.’ (Year 1 parent)
Aveley Primary School is spacious, with expansive grounds that we continue to develop for the benefit of pupils. We have high expectations for achievement with excellent teaching and learning, enabling children to flourish. Staff are determined that children will achieve their full potential, whatever their starting points. Sitting at the heart of the school vision is the pledge to develop ‘whole people’, whose wellbeing is a priority, so they not only achieve well but are socially and emotionally well-rounded. All members of our community live our values of Respect, Positivity and Responsibility.
Aveley Primary is highly regarded for its work in supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Children at the school get an offer of tailored support and targeted teaching to allow them to achieve well, including those in our Autism Resource Centre (ARC).
